Neutrinos & Bosons
Neutrinos are particles that pass through us at a rate of billions per second. Kay Quattrocchi likes to think that they carry information from space.
Bosons are her passion. In a three-dimensional world, quantum mechanics, which describes the microscopic world, only allows for the existence of two types of particles: fermions and bosons. Everyone will have heard of the electron, the elementary particle of the fermion family that carries the electric current. Among the bosons, it is the photon, the elementary particle associated with the propagation of light, with which we are probably most familiar. The artist proposes a representation of these invisible worlds in color and form.
“I am passionate about Astrophysics and the relationship between the Universe and Consciousness. My challenge is to represent these worlds that are invisible from our five senses in forms and colors. Aside from that, I really love the World of Neutrinos, these little particules that are constantly going through us by billions. Art for me is a good instrument to show these particles, these different dimensions and the links that connect us to the Universe; whether physically and spiritually. My art can be a dialogue with all these dimensions that are inside of us and surrounding us, it can also be a taste, a smell, a music, a feeling or a presence trough the forms, the movments and the colours.”
